SO NO SHANNON
IT’S NOT THAT FUCKING NICE OF A HOTEL
Come on Shannon get your shit together.
Post-grad English major, film nerd, and all-around socially awkward mess trying to make it in the real world in order to finance a love of old books and live music

Postertext is a company based in Canada that takes the text of an entire book and converts it into a poster.
The above is Little Women- however, it only has the first 17 chapters.
Right now they are focusing on classical lit but soon they are moving on to contemporary and are asking for suggestions!
Go recommend your favorite book!
Oh. My. Gawd.

Is this for real?
Baz Luhrmann, the director of both Moulin Rouge! and Romeo+Juliet, two movies I adore, doing a movie adaptation of The Great Gatsby?
One of my all-time favorite novels?
Starring Leonardo DiCaprio?
THIS IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.

1. 3. 7.
1 - what I’m craving for right now
An Orange Julius. I like the strawberry ones.
I am also craving summer. My days during the week in the summer are spent lounging on the back deck with a book. I will literally spend the entire day this way reading. And I’m talking about REAL books here, none of that nook bullshit.
3 - one of the things I am proud of
Graduating college. I was the first one in my immediate family to go to university. Not only did I graduate from both my of programs but I did so in the top 5% of my class being recognized “cum laude”. I’m not bragging, but I am proud of it. I worked my ass off for it.
7 - what turns me on
Now we’re talking. Kissing/breath on my neck. Being dominated (not in a Rhianna-ish S&M kind of way, but in a way that is forceful without being scary, if that makes any sense). Being sung to. Or read to. Or arguing about something I’m passionate about with someone who is equally passionate.
Freud would have a field day exploring this shit.
5 & 6, my lady!
…apologies… apparently my tumblr iphone app does not alert me to these messages and since I haven’t logged in for several days I’ve got a bunch in my inbox. I will start with you :)
5 - my childhood career choice
When I was super young I remember wanting to be a teacher. Probably because I’m kind of bossy. Ha. In high school I wanted to act or sing because that’s all I did—vocal music was my arts elective every year. And there was always choir and musicals. I miss that. My parents would have killed me if I studied music. English was enough of a fight to get them to be on board with (though I did manage to slip in a theatre minor).
6 - my favorite band right now
I don’t know. Honestly, I have so many favorites. Ok, I’m going to choose one. John Mayer, while not a band, is always at the top of my list (in spite of the fact that Battle Studies left much to be desired) Room for Squares is my security blanket. I have, however, been listening to a lot of Oasis lately. Not even one album in particular. And Adele. And Bob Dylan. Damnit. See what I mean?
